My Christmas Wish List

I know I promised not to shop for Christmas presents this year because I really have no one to give gifts to. However, I still can't deny the fact that I can never resist checking out online goodies! Online goodies for me, of course! I do have my own Christmas wish list for myself but I doubt that getting ahold of them all is possible. But, it doesn't hurt to hope, right?

For the most part of the year, I have always wanted to have my very own PlayStation 3 console. This is in preparation for Final Fantasy XIII which will only be released for PS 3. Not to mention that I already gave away my PS 2 console to my cousin back in the Philippines.

Now that I have started to love photography, I am hankering for a Nikon D90. I know it's a bit steep for a beginner but I can still add that to my list, can't I? Lenses would go well the camera, too hekhekhekhek...

Next would be a Mac. I really have no idea what to get and how to operate one but still, I love exploring new things. There have been a lot of positive reviews with the Mac as compared to a PC but I'm willing to try out the Mac first before I can take a side.

I would also love to get the collectors edition of Twilight and get the Twilight Saga boxed set. With those in mind, I also would want to get the $100 limited edition Tales of Beedle the Bard. This is also quite pricey but...

Lastly, I wish for a round trip ticket to the Philippines! Donors, anyone?

Food: Seafood and Shrimps

I have always been a fan of food, heck, I love food (isn’t it obvious?). Anyway, one of the perks when you live, in my case lived, in a seaside town is fresh seafood. Yup, back in Dumaguete City, a small city in the Philippines, fresh seafood is always a staple in every person’s meal.

I miss fresh seafood and one of my favorites, even though I hate peeling them, is shrimp and crabs! I only indulge in this treat sometimes because even though it is yummy, these little critters are quite high in cholesterol even if they are rich in protein and calcium.

Making Plans for the Future

I can’t say that I have really thought about my future and my family’s future. Well, I just got married and I haven’t really pondered about what our future would be. I am pretty much quite dependent, as most Filipinos are, to my parents, most especially with my mom since I am living with her right now. My hubby and I have talked about plans for the future but nothing is definite yet. Seeing as he has barely new in his job and I am still reviewing for my exam.

I know I still have so much more to learn about managing my finances. I have started asking questions from my mom regarding insurance, loans, and debt consolidation so that I can get a better grasp on financial matters. I admit that I suck at math; I’m just doubly glad that my hubby and my mom are both math whizzes.

Speaking of my financial expertise, I took the Bills IQ test at Bills.com and got an 89%. This definitely means that I am learning. I did encounter a lot of items that I needed brushing up with, though but I am confident that I got the concept. Anyhow, I can always ask for debt help from my mom!

My mom and I are planning to purchase a house in the next two years seeing as the market has considerably gone low this year. I know snagging a house would cost us but I know that this is definitely a good investment.
