With Black Friday just minutes away, a lot of good deals have been popping up here and there. To be honest, people are probably lining up in front of their favorite stores in hopes to grab the best deals of the items on their wish list.

Personally, I haven’t tried lining up in front of a store just to grab limited items that are on sale but when it was described to be I had to cringe. You can’t imagine what utter chaos you would encounter, not to mention lining up as early as 12 midnight!

Wouldn’t you want to skip the lines BUT get the same deals online? Well, Charter has offered up to $250 worth gift certificate at selected stores just by signing up for their bundle.

Unlimited Calling

By signing up for this deal, you automatically get a $250 gift certificate and a chance to win a brand new X-Box 360 game console. Now, how cool is that? You could also get the lower bundles and still get a chance to win a brand new X-Box 360 game console.

Sproutwells and Soccer Moms

The Sproutwells are a fruit and vegetable family who are living among us. This short episode currently shows Mom watching Ruby’s soccer game. I enjoyed this short clip and I didn’t even expect it!

I have heard of a lot of crazy soccer mom stories, some hilarious and some pretty disturbing but it all boils down to them being stage mom’s. I know all moms would love to see their kids succeed and they would also want to encourage their kids. Some have gone waaay overboard though and have picked fights here and there. Cat fights, anyone?

The Sproutwells are also fond of freshfunds, a website similar to Ebay where you can rack up points, bid online and make donations to charity online. Not only that, you get to learn more about fruits, vegetables, read about healthy tips, and know more about your health.

Want more Sproutwells? Check out this episode and tell me what you think!

Learnings: Online Jargon

You got me! I'm a complete noob when it comes to online jargon. I was racking my brains out thinking about what LMAO or IMHO stand for but I was to chicken to ask my other blogger friends. A light bulb suddenly came on and I smacked myself on the head; I can find all this stuff if I Googled it! I hopped over to G's homey and behold, the answer to all my prayers! I am now sharing these to other bloggers who are to chicken to ask for fear of criticism. I added a few terms that I knew and some that I haven't had the opportunity to see written around the blogosphere (yet). Deviant on the Loose!

Click Image for a larger view

Anyone interested in art? Well, I am an admirer of art, and a frustrated artist, sort of but this friend of mine really takes the cake! He has been drawing since he was as child, as he claimed, and is greatly inspired by Marvel action heroes like the X-Men. He is none other than rhardo, one of the Buluyagonz. Hop over to his site rhardo on DeviantArt and check his stuff out. He is currently accepting art commissions so if you are interested, just PM him. I am merely showing you a sample of his work so check his DeviantArt site for more. He also has a blog in the works so you can drop by here if you are interested. By the way, rhardo also has a twin brother and is quite handy with the pen (read: both of them are artists)!

Note: My hubby is also an artist and I love his work to bits! He has given me a lot of stuff that he made himself and although they might not be much, they are priceless to me!

Smell the Sea Breeze, Smells Like Home

I received something in the mail today: Renuzit TriScents scented Oil Air Freshener! And guess what? My room smells like I’m living beside the ocean! Ah, this scent really brings me home. You see, we used to l go to the beach at least once every two or three weeks. Yes, that’s right! The Philippines is a tropical country and our city is situated right beside the sea! My hubby and I usually go to his sister’s place because they live near the sea. The sweet sea breeze wafting in the air is heavenly.
I have hooked up my Renuzit TriScents starter kit in the living room and I am immediately reminded of home. The scents are amazing and they change every 45 minutes which gives you a completely different seaside breeze scent. Since I spend most of my time in the living room because I blog and I watch TV here, I totally love the frequent change of scents in the air. It immediately relaxes me and tickles my imagination: white sandy beaches, the sun, the sweet sea breeze; they conjure up days lazing around the beach with nothing else to do.

Try the Renuzit TriScents Oil Air Freshener and check out their website and print out their coupon to get a discount for their tri scents starter kit. They currently have two scent packs: their Seaside Breezes Collection and Morning Meadow Collection.

Flirt Up Your Life

I don't think I've ever been called a consummate flirt before (I know a few of my friends think that I am but I’m not). Way back in high school, I used to be this awkward, chubby girl who always wore black. It was like an unspoken trend. Even with my penchant for black and being a loner, some people still called me a flirt. Yep, they did. Really. I think it was because of a time where I was a bit close to a group of guys in my class. Well, they told me that I was the only girl who didn’t cringe when they talked about “boy stuff” within my hearing. Ah, I was used to it. I mean, I loved to read and by freshman year of high school, I was a bit of a…free thinker.
Of course I couldn’t deny that I didn’t flirt! Well, I did as what girls that age are supposed to do, so don’t crucify me. I always had this “innocent” look so to speak, that seemed endearing to the guys. I smile when I recall my antics then.
However, this “innocent” look was quite instrumental in snagging my hubby when I was a sophomore in college. By then, I had already shed my love for black and started wearing girly clothes. Oh, I was still chubby (and still am) but I gained self-confidence. I was the girl who didn’t care what others think (well, I still don’t, as a matter of fact).
Going back to my hubby, he was done with college when we met and I think he loved my air of innocence. When we were together, I still kept on showing him my “innocent” look even though I wasn’t that naïve. I don’t mean to say that I was totally liberate when we met but, let’s just say that I wasn’t totally innocent (I was already exposed to books, movies, the internet, and other people). Well, this flirting tactic worked because we had been dating for almost seven years when he proposed. We’re married now and I still show him my “innocent” look. Hey, I don’t think this gets old because it still gets me what I want!
In connection with “the look,” Extreme Style by VO5 is hosting a flirting contest called the Ultimate Flirting Championship where people vie to be the ultimate flirt. If you don't want to e named the ultimate flirt, fret not because you can still join and be a judge where you get to decide who will be the ultimate flirt. Online Stumbles: Dirt Devil Accucharge

5238dd240x180public

When I came to the US back in 2005, I discovered the pleasures of using a vacuum cleaner. Sure, there are vacuum cleaners back in the Philippines but it didn’t seem practical to use one there. Here, however, the vacuum cleaner is a God-send. Cleaning has never been easier before! You just plug the vacuum in, turn the power button on and viola, it does the cleaning for you!We have been using the Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner for over 3 years now and we love it! It is indeed one of the best vacuum cleaners on the market.
Recently, I stumbled across the new Dirt Devil Accucharge. Now, this is a household gadget that you wouldn’t want to miss! Why is that, you ask? It’s simply because the Dirt Devil Accucharge is a cordless vacuum. Now, isn’t that lovely? Talk about saving energy while cleaning your house! With the Accucharge, you can absolutely go anywhere you want without worrying that the cord is too short. Not only that but you don’t need to worry about wasting energy! This is your bit in saving the world, I should say. The Dirt Devil Accucharge is one of the first cordless vacuum cleaners to earn the Energy Star approval.
We used to take pains in saving energy. Vacuuming once every two weeks usually worked well for us. Sometimes, we don’t even use the vacuum cleaner for a whole month! Well, our dogs were pretty helpful when we spilled something on the floor but hey, we can’t always rely on our pups to do the dirty but yummy? work for us! Ah, the pains that we took to save our mother earth.
Dust bunnies beware! The new Dirt Devil Accucharge is here!
